CMD partnered with a well-known international robotics manufacturer on a project for the customer’s newly established research and development facility. The robotics manufacturer needed a sizeable robotics work cell to be designed and installed. The work cell needed to be strong, useful, cost effective, and also safe as protection was needed to keep hazardous sharp metal projectiles from exiting the enclosure while the robotics equipment performed various experimental tasks.

Skarda Equipment and Controlled Motion Dynamics have created a safety gurney which they are taking on the road to customers. The demo framework is a wheeled gurney that folds down for loading into the back of our van and features many new industrial safety products from our vendors such as 80/20 and Pinnacle Systems.

Sheet Picker - Customers were previously moving panels with an overhead crane with a vacuum system and discovered moving these panels one at a time was a chokepoint in their manufacturing process. CMDI came to the solution of developing a machine that would allow operators to carry multiple panels and then drop single panels to distribute them one at a time as needed.

A customer needed a large multiple pump hydraulic system that was capable of running two separate production floors. Running on the power unit from each floor were hydraulic conveyors, hydraulic dumpers, and other associated hydraulic equipment. Throughout the day, the hydraulic power demand varied depending on the equipment running. The customer hoped to save on energy by only running the necessary hydraulic pumps rather than running the full system flow non-stop.
